Principal's Messages

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

  • Class assignments for Gr. 1-6 will be available today at 3:00 p.m. via Parent Portal. Class lists will not be posted in front of the school. Assignments are considered firm on the first day of school, however we ask that you please understand the possibility always exists that we may need to change assignments after the beginning of school to balance classes. If your child is to be impacted, you will be contacted. A separate letter has been sent via U.S. mail to all kindergarten parents, detailing information about the first day’s orientation and AM/PM class placement for students.
  • Grade level school supply lists are posted on our website. Donations are always greatly appreciated.

In preparation for the first day of school, please take a moment to review Stone Creek’s Traffic Safety Plan (which is included in our Handbook) and summarized below for your easy reference. It is extremely important for the safety of our students, staff and community members for all of us to be vigilant of our walk to school guidelines and parking lot procedures:

  • PARKING LOT ENTRY/EXIT SIGNS ARE CLEARLY POSTED. All parent traffic must enter the parking lot at the Stone Creek South ENTRANCE only. There are two (2) lanes available; the right lane is for “drop-off/pick-up” only, and the left lane is for “drive-through” only.
  • ALWAYS USE THE CROSSWALKS. For your safety and for your child’s safety, always use the crosswalks. They are located at the corner of West Yale Loop and Stone Creek South.
  • SUGGESTED ROUTES TO SCHOOL MAP. The City of Irvine has prepared a Suggested Routes to School map for our school which consists of the attached drawing showing area streets, the school, existing traffic controls, established school walking routes, and established school crossings. Information regarding the safe operation of bicycles is also included. We believe that the Suggested Routes to School map will be useful in educating our school pedestrians and bicyclists on the appropriate routes to travel to and from school.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.
